Asia Wray Makeup & Hair is a beauty service which caters for all skin tones and hair types, however, is a specialist in the makeup application and styling for brides of African, Afro Caribbean, Arab backgrounds, with bridesmaids of a multicultural mix.

 

With over 10 years of industry experience in Bridal, Catwalk/Runway, Live Artists, Media and formally qualified to teach & subject lead within Further and Higher Education.

Many brides would prefer to have an experienced professional manage their beauty. I have therefore expanded my repertoire to include hair extension, wigs and hair accessories so that you know when booking with me, your hair and beauty needs are taken care of.

 I will offer support throughout your entire beauty process with styles suggestions and consultation on your whole bridal theme to entirely understand the vision you have for your wedding day beauty. Working with catwalk models frequently, I am also willing to offer direction on any aspect of your beauty, nothing is too much trouble.

My specialism stemmed from the lack of Professional Makeup Artists who specialised in darker skin tones several years ago. There are many now, however, I stand firm in the belief that you do need an added layer of expertise to cater successfully for weddings as there are so many variables involved and needs to be met on a professional level. 

 

I have always been passionate that darker skin tones deserve to have natural-looking, accurate and glamorous results. Afro and Afro Mixed hair should look as natural as possible in extensions and all the beauty revealed in natural styling.  I am also careful to be protective of your own natural hair and skin health and will preserve your natural beauty by using protective methods and high quality products.

I can be found working for models, makeup agencies and colleges around the UK, with an extensive catalogue of beautiful brides of all ethnicities with diverse cultural backgrounds.  I am based in Southwark, London. 

The Team and Bridal services

 I work on every bride personally and can provide a team of up to 4 co-workers with exceptional skills to support a large bridal party or project. Large wedding parties such as Arabic or Eritrean, Zimbabwe or Ghanaian, we understand traditional customs and styles and can represent your culture accurately. Regularly working in top hotels across London, the professional uniformed staff work closely to give you a first class service on your special day.

What else do I do? I can be found in the winter months working for Colleges in London unmasking talents in the classroom to bring forth the next generation of beauty professionals. Enquire for availability and if you are booked with me, rest assured that you are in very safe hands.

Special message for alone brides or second timers.

Not every bride has the luxury or desire to have a large team of bridesmaids. Some choose to have just one or two, or simply go it alone. As part of my service, I will look after your beauty and be a support for you on your wedding morning. I will assist with your dress, hair accessories, and getting you ready until your wedding car arrives. So if mum or bridesmaids are not with you don't worry, I will be there to offer reassuring support when you most need it.
